Frequently Asked Questions

Discover answers to frequently asked questions about our landscaping services at Carolina Professional Landscapes, LLC, and learn how we can transform your outdoor space in Raleigh, NC, with our expertise and dedication.

  • What are the benefits of sod installation?

A new lawn adds value to your property, creates curb appeal, enhances your landscape, and if you install a warm-season turf, like Zoysia or Bermuda it can bring lower maintenance and help prevent weeds.

  • How long does sod installation last?

It depends on the square footage, but the average property is a 4-day installation.

  • How can a well-landscaped home help to sell my home?

Curb appeal and landscape appearance are both what the potential buyer first sees and sets the tone for the potential home visit.

  • If you design my landscape, how will I maintain and care for it?

Everything we do today is considered low maintenance. When we complete a project, however, you’re given care instructions.

  • What can I expect to spend landscaping my entire property?

The cost depends on the scope of the project. Sod is based on square footage, total landscape renovation is based on area and involvement including any hardscaping. The average cost is 8K to 35K.

  • I have standing water in my yard, can you help?

    Yes!

  • Why do I have standing water in my yard?

Drainage can be corrected in several ways and our approach depends on your situation and our evaluation. It can be created by several factors including having no lawn which allows free flow and creates more erosion, your gutters do not have piping, your property is lower than your neighbors, and catching their water. Creekbeds and swales are used sometimes as a way to redirect wash.

  • How much water does my lawn need in the summer?

Cool-weather Fescue requires 7 times per week 10 to 15 minutes in the morning. Low maintenance warm-season Zoysia and Bermuda require 3 to 5 days 12 minutes in the morning.
